Protection of Customer Data

Although DynamoDB-Toolshack is used to access DynamoDB data, it does not store any copy of the data it accesses. When sending data over the internet, it encrypts it using the HTTPS protocol.

DynamoDB-Toolshack servers do however store the metadata required by the application to operate, which includes:

  • AWS Account Ids
  • Provided Access IAM Role names
  • DynamoDB Table names & Key schemas
  • Entity Names & Schemas

This metadata is encrypted at rest using the AES-256 Standard and in transit using the HTTPS protocol. It is kept until the owning account is deleted.

Protection of Personally-Identifying Information (PII)

DynamoDB-Toolshack does not collect and use any PII for its own purposes outside of the ones required for authentication and directly provided by the user:

  • Email address
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Phone number (when 2-factor authentication is enabled)

This information is encrypted and stored securely using industry best practices. It is kept until the account is deleted.

It is not shared to any Third Party except Paddle.com (see Payments).

Information for European Union Customers

We process your data under the legal bases of contract performance. By using DynamoDB-Toolshack and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.
